Specific detection steps and precautions:
Sample preparation
Bearing parts must be demagnetized before detection. The surface roughness of the detection surface and the positioning surface should meet the requirements, and there should be no defects such as decarbonization, cracks, oxidation, scratches and so on.
Durometer check
Check whether the durometer works normally, and use the appropriate standard hardness block to correct, indicating the error should meet the requirements.
Detection force selection
Select the appropriate detection force according to the shape, size and effective width of the bearing parts.
Detection position and number
The ring is generally tested on the end face. The ring with an outer diameter greater than 500mm can be tested directly on the raceway by Leeb hardness tester. The rolling element is generally detected on the curved surface, and when the diameter is less than 4.7625mm, a flat surface can be ground out after inlaying for detection.
Processing of test result
The hardness value of the same part is not allowed to be represented by the average number of points, and the hardness value range should be written. Rockwell Hardness HRC values should be accurate to 0.5 Rockwell hardness units.
